Switzerland
In 1956, at a time when holistic beauty was still largely unexplored, she travelled to Switzerland to study aesthetic cosmetology. While the beauty industry focused primarily on appearance, she was already asking a different question.
Could beautiful skin begin with something deeper?
Throughout her life, she explored herbal medicine, aromatherapy, advanced cosmetic science and traditional Eastern philosophies, believing that healthy skin could never be separated from emotional wellbeing, mindful touch and the intelligence of nature.
The philosophy we grew up with
A Childhood of Ritual
We grew up inside that philosophy.
Our childhood was filled with the scent of freshly distilled botanicals drifting through the house. Glass bottles of precious plant oils warmed gently between our mother’s hands. Herbal extracts were carefully prepared. Quiet treatments were performed with patience and intention.
Skincare was never rushed.
It was never simply about correcting the skin.
It was an act of care.
Looking back, we realise those everyday moments quietly became our greatest education.
They taught us that beauty is cultivated, not chased.
That consistency matters more than perfection.
That the way we touch our skin is just as meaningful as the ingredients we choose.

From Curiosity to Creation
As our own journey unfolded, curiosity became research. Research became study. And study became a lifelong pursuit of understanding the remarkable relationship between plants, skin, science and the senses.
Over the years, we immersed ourselves in skin physiology, botanical science, cosmetic formulation, aromatherapy and holistic wellbeing. We collaborated with international cosmetic laboratories, explored traditional botanical wisdom from different cultures and followed the evolving science behind the skin’s connection with touch, aroma and emotional wellbeing.
Yet every path led us back to the same simple truth.
